Eligibility –
Master’s Degree in a relevant subject with at least 55% marks from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
Cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar tests accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
A relaxation of 5% at the graduate and master’s level for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions.

Interview Process
The interview panel may also ask questions related to the candidate’s previous research work, publications, and any other relevant achievements.
Academic Qualifications: The panel assesses the candidate’s academic qualifications to determine their suitability for the position of Assistant Professor.
Subject Knowledge: The panel evaluates the candidate’s knowledge of the subject they have applied for and their ability to answer subject-specific questions.
Research Aptitude: The panel evaluates the candidate’s research aptitude, including their research methodology, research experience, and publications.
Teaching Skills: The panel assesses the candidate’s teaching skills, including their ability to communicate effectively and engage students in the learning process.
Personality Traits: The panel evaluates the candidate’s personality traits, including their confidence, attitude, and overall suitability for the position of Assistant Professor.
Document Verification
The candidates are required to bring original documents, research paper, Teaching/Post-Doctoral Experience, Awards, Publications etc. under Document Verification process. During the document verification process, the authorities will verify the original documents submitted by the candidates. If any discrepancies or irregularities are found in the documents submitted, the candidature of the candidate may be cancelled.
Merit List
The merit list is prepared based on the total marks scored by the candidates in the written exam and interview. The weightage given to each stage of the selection process may vary, but generally, the written exam carries more weightage than the interview. The final merit list is prepared after taking into consideration the following factors:

After considering all these factors, the final merit list is prepared, and candidates are selected based on their rank in the merit list.
