- Constable/Jail Sepoy: The applicant has to have graduated from a recognized board with a senior secondary education, 10+2 diploma, or its equivalent.
- Sub Inspector: A bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited institution or board is required of the candidate.

- Constable: Minimum Age – 18 years And Maximum Age- 33 years
- Sub Inspector: Minimum Age – 20 years And Maximum Age- 33 years
- Note: For the OBC applicants, there is a three-year age relaxation; for SC and ST candidates, there is a five-year exemption.
